What happened after Mystery Diners?
Mystery Diners went undercover at Belcourt Taps, a bar in Nashville, Tennessee, for the episode "Crooked Contest," part of season 11, which aired April 20, 2016. The show's format called for a suspected problem at the bar to be caught on hidden camera by an undercover mystery diner before the owner was brought in, shown what the investigation found, and given the crew's recommendations for fixing it. According to Wikipedia's article on Mystery Diners, citing its sources, the program has been described as staged and scripted rather than an unscripted account of real events, so specific claims made to any owner on camera should be read with that description in mind.
Wikipedia separately flags Belcourt Taps as closed, though that flag on its own is a lead rather than a dated source. According to a Google Places listing checked in September 2026, Belcourt Taps at 2117 Belcourt Ave in Nashville carries a business status of Permanently Closed, which corroborates the Wikipedia flag. No additional dated source, such as a news article, a social-media post, or a licensing record, was located to establish when the bar closed or why. The Places listing does not itself carry a separate publication date, so the September 2026 date marks only when the listing was checked. No current website, event calendar, or 2026-dated review for Belcourt Taps was found.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
