Is Big Jud's Still Open? Man v. Food Update (Boise, ID)

Man v. Food, Season 2 Boise, Idaho

Current status

Open

As of October 2026, Big Jud's is listed open on Yelp, reviewed by our team on September 7, 2026; not yet independently confirmed through direct contact.

What the source shows: the original listing's website check showed a stale 2020 copyright, but a Yelp listing updated 2026-06 confirms current reviews, hours, and menu at the same address. How we decide a status →

What happened after Man v. Food?

S2E11 featured Big Jud's, a Boise burger stand known for its Big Jud Special, a one-pound cheeseburger central to an eating challenge that, according to Yelp, more than 1,000 customers have completed. The menu also includes items such as the Super Bacon Burger and Bleu Bacon Burger, per Yelp. A Yelp listing for the location at 1289 S Protest Rd, updated 2026-06, showed 312 reviews and hours of Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Yelp). The business's own website, by contrast, carried a stale 2020 copyright notice at the researchers' last check, which is why the recently updated Yelp listing was relied on to confirm current operation.
