According to Route 66 News and the Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway, the parlor -- later renamed The Chili Parlor -- moved to 820 South Ninth Street in 1997. Route 66 News reported in December 2024 that the restaurant, then run by Roy and Stephanie Beal, had changed to new, undisclosed ownership.
