Blend on Main is an American bistro on Main Street in the Jersey Shore town of Manasquan, run by chef-owner Lou Smith, that Ramsay visited for the second episode of Season 3, which aired January 14, 2020. The show found a business surviving on a brutal seasonal cycle: real profitability lasted only through the two-month summer tourist rush, and the rest of the year the restaurant limped along on thin margins. Staff had lost respect for Smith's management style, and much of the on-camera fix is framed around Ramsay working to change the owner's attitude toward his employees as much as the food itself.

Complicating the shoot, Smith's cover as an undercover diner was blown early, so fellow chef James Avery posed as Ramsay for part of the reconnaissance while the real Ramsay disguised himself as a cameraman; Avery returned later to judge a halibut cook-off between Smith and a colleague, and again for the relaunch alongside his wife. On the food side, Ramsay's team built a tighter, seafood-forward menu and gave the dining room a modern but cozy redesign meant to draw customers beyond the summer season. The restaurant, which first opened in the spring of 2014, has continued operating under the Blend on Main name at the same Main Street address, serving breakfast and brunch Tuesday through Sunday mornings and dinner in the evenings, with fish dishes still highlighted as a strength on the current menu.

It remains a BYOB restaurant with a dog-friendly outdoor patio, and it carries a 4.6 rating across more than 3,000 OpenTable reviews and ranks among the top few restaurants in Manasquan on Tripadvisor. Some third-party directories list the business in 2026 under a similar name, "Blend By Chef Lou," but the restaurant's own website and most reservation platforms still identify it as Blend on Main, and there is no independent confirmation that a formal rename has taken place.
