South Boulevard, a Korean-fusion restaurant also known as SoBo serving barbecue, steaks, and sushi, closed out the ninth and final episode of Season 3, which aired February 25, 2020 as a same-night pairing with the Bear's Den Pizza episode. The restaurant had opened only in April 2019 to an initially positive local review praising its fusion menu, and its owner told the show he lacked real experience or confidence running a restaurant, while his cook, Tasha, had little grounding in authentic Korean cooking and was judged capable of only line-cook-level work rather than running a kitchen solo. Ramsay went undercover as a member of his own production crew rather than as a customer, observing kitchen operations directly, and brought in Alex Hall, one of the show's own "Hell on Wheels" trainers, to pose as a temporary local line cook during the undercover phase.

For the first time in the series, Ramsay was not shown sampling the food on camera, and the relaunch included a head-to-head chef cook-off to settle who should lead the kitchen. The turnaround came too late to address the business's underlying finances. South Boulevard's closure came in February 2020, the same weekend the episode aired, months after Ramsay's visit; according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (2020-02-26), a property manager said the owner had been evicted after falling roughly $22,000 behind on rent, and that the state had already pulled the restaurant's liquor license over unpaid sales taxes.

The paper's coverage at the time noted that customer reviews had stayed largely positive right up to the closure, underscoring that the outcome was financial and administrative rather than a food problem. A Yelp business listing for the address independently marks it permanently closed as of a July 2026 update. The Maumelle Boulevard address is in North Little Rock, a separate city from Little Rock proper, though the show credited the episode to Little Rock.
