What happened after Restaurant Stakeout?

In 'Blonde Ambition,' Willie Degel wired hidden cameras through BlonDee's Bistro & Bar, a Huntington restaurant the owner had opened to help support her three children, whom she rarely saw because of her devotion to the business and her refusal to delegate. The cameras caught the cost of that refusal: an owner trying to control every task herself, leaving staff undertrained and unsupervised whenever she pulled away to handle something else. At the staff meeting, Willie confronted the owner with what the footage showed and pushed her to hand off real responsibility to trained staff, set procedures that did not depend on her being in the room, and reclaim time with her kids without the business falling apart.

He returned later to check whether she had actually let go of any control. The restaurant, previously known as Two Blondes and a Stove before adding dinner service and a liquor license in 2013, kept running at its Clinton Avenue address for several more years, but it is no longer operating. Yelp's business listing for BlonDee's Bistro & Bar is marked permanently closed, last updated in December 2025, and a separate Foursquare listing for the address is also marked closed. Wikipedia's article on the series notes that it has been described as scripted, citing a 2012 realityblurred.com report that questioned the show's authenticity.
