What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode Country Cookin' featured Bully's Restaurant, a soul food restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi that has served the city since 1982, according to the Southern Foodways Alliance. The James Beard Foundation named Bully's an America's Classics honoree in 2016, recognizing it as a Black-owned, family-run Southern cooking institution. Bully's lists its address as 3118 Livingston Rd, and its primary online presence is a Facebook business page rather than a standalone website. Yelp's listing for the restaurant, updated in September 2026, shows posted hours of 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., according to Yelp.
Google Places also lists the business as operational at the same address. A September 9, 2026 check of the restaurant's Facebook page returned an HTTP 200 response, though the page's content could not be read in full. No news source reporting a closure was found in the evidence gathered.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
