The episode Country Cookin' featured Kountry Kitchen Soulfood Place, a family-run soul food restaurant on Indianapolis's College Avenue founded in 1988 by Isaac and Cynthia Wilson, according to Wikipedia. A fire destroyed the original building in 2020, and the Wilsons rebuilt at the same address, reopening in 2023, according to Wikipedia. Yelp carries two separate listings for the address: one under the original name, Kountry Kitchen Soulfood Place, marked as closed and updated in August 2026, and a second, simply named Kountry Kitchen, without a closed marker and also updated in August 2026, according to Yelp.
Google Places lists a business named Kountry Kitchen as operational at 1831 N College Ave. A September 9, 2026 attempt to load kountrykitchenindy.com returned an HTTP 403 response rather than a usable page. No source found in this check describes a second closure since the 2023 reopening.
