According to the Review-Journal (February 23, 2026), the bar's ownership announced it would close permanently on February 23, 2026, following one final karaoke weekend; the bar's own Instagram account posted the same date and time, telling patrons, "Sadly, Champagne's is closing it's doors Monday February 23 at 8am." The revisit format checks in on previously rescued bars to see whether earlier changes held and to address any new problems that had developed since; for Champagne's, the framing centered on whether the light-touch 2016 makeover, aimed at preserving the bar's vintage karaoke-lounge identity while tightening service, had continued to serve the business or whether day-to-day operations had drifted again in the years between visits. By the time of this second episode, Champagne's had weathered several years including the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which owner Greg Sims later told the Las Vegas Review-Journal had begun eroding the karaoke-and-comedy-driven customer base the bar's original rescue had worked to strengthen. The bar continued operating under its original name and format for nearly five more years after this revisit before ownership announced its permanent closure on February 23, 2026, citing the pandemic's lingering effects together with prolonged road construction along Maryland Parkway, according to the Review-Journal.
