What happened after Bar Rescue?

Bar Rescue (Paramount Network) featured Coaches Pub, owned by Robbie, who was reported to be about $230,000 in debt, in Houston, Texas, in the season 9 episode "Midtown Slump," which aired August 4, 2024, following filming in March 2024, according to the fan site realitytvupdates.com. That source described a bar that was not maintaining basic standards, with a disorganized kitchen, fruit flies, and an owner who was drinking on the job during recon visits. Per realitytvupdates.com, Jon Taffer renamed the business Midtown Pub Steak & Sports during the rescue, and the shorter Midtown Pub name stuck through the fan site's original post-episode coverage, which described the bar as still open and serving customers as of that source's initial 2024 check.

That assessment has since changed. Reader comments added to the realitytvupdates.com page state that the location is closed, with one describing a large dumpster placed out front, and another stating the bar had been sold and would reopen under a different name, Urban Social; neither comment carries an exact date. Google's business record for the address, 2204 Louisiana St, separately lists the location's Coaches Pub listing as permanently closed. The business's own website, coachespubmidtown.com, was still reachable in September 2026 and displayed a Midtown Pub title, listed hours, and an online-ordering option, but none of that content referenced any 2026 date, and the conflict between the live-looking site and the closure reports found elsewhere means the site cannot be treated as current proof that the bar is still open.

Taken together, the Google business record showing the location permanently closed and the reader-reported dumpster and sale point toward the same outcome: Coaches Pub, later Midtown Pub, is no longer operating at the Louisiana Street address, even though its website continues to load with stale-looking content. No source found in this check could confirm an exact closure date or independently verify the reported sale to a business called Urban Social.
