Is Colonial Mountain Inn Still Open? Hotel Impossible Update

Hotel Impossible featured the Colonial Mountain Inn in the Branson, Missouri, area on season 7, episode 5, 'Branson Misery,' which aired 2016-05-16, following the show's format of pairing a hospitality consultant with an independently run motel to address operational problems. The property is located in Branson West, Missouri, at 10770 State Hwy 76, just outside the city of Branson itself, which differs slightly from the 'Branson, MO' location given in the original episode description. A 2026-09-09 check of the inn's own website found 2026-dated page content and an active online booking widget, operating under the name Colonial Mountain Inn LLC. Google Places also lists the property as operational.

No news coverage, ownership change, or closure notice was found for the inn since its 2016 television appearance. The site also lists nightly room rates and mentions a rate for contractors staying longer term, according to its own current content, consistent with a motor-inn style property still taking direct reservations. The inn continues to market itself as roadside lodging convenient to the Branson entertainment corridor, according to its own website. No secondary independent listing was reviewed to corroborate the website's current content. Branson West sits along U.S. Highway 76 near the Branson entertainment corridor, and independent motels in the area, including this one, compete for travelers visiting the region's theaters and attractions.
