What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
"Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" featured Deep Ellum in the September 5, 2014 episode "Roadtrippin' in Beantown," highlighting the gastropub's craft beer selection and scratch kitchen fare. The bar takes its name from the Deep Ellum entertainment district in Dallas, Texas. The episode's batch listing placed the restaurant in Allston, Massachusetts, but according to the bar's own website, deepellum-waltham.com, checked September 8, 2026, Deep Ellum operates from 467 Moody Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. The site was live with an active online ordering system and posted hours of Monday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Tuesday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. The page carried no copyright year, but the working ordering link and current posted hours indicate the gastropub was still operating when checked.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
