What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

On "Old Time Favorites" (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, aired 2009-06-22), Guy Fieri visited Donn's Hilltop Kodiak Grill in Boise, Idaho, a local landmark revived under new ownership, featuring the restaurant's portobello pesto burger, pot roast beef sandwich, and sweet potato fries. The restaurant operated at 12342 East Highway 21 in Boise, according to Triple D Life's episode page (updated 2026-06-15). That page reports the restaurant permanently closed on 2013-12-01, citing a KTVB television news story about its last weekend of service. A Foursquare listing likewise marks the location closed. No later reopening or successor business has been found at the address, and no owner statement about the closure has surfaced, so the closure is treated as reported rather than confirmed.
