On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives ('Chicken 'Cross the Globe,' aired 2021-12-17), Guy Fieri visited Frank's Famous Chicken & Waffles, an Albuquerque soul-food restaurant built around chicken and waffles alongside catfish, shrimp, collard greens and other Southern sides. According to Visit Albuquerque, owner Frank Willis started the business as a delivery-only operation in January 2013 and opened the current Nob Hill-area storefront on Washington Street later that same year. A Yelp listing updated 2026-07 lists the restaurant as active, with nearly 500 reviews and continuing customer traffic.

A Google Places record likewise lists the business as operational at 400 Washington St SE. A direct check of the restaurant's own website in September 2026 was blocked by the site's server, but the Yelp listing and Places record together indicate the restaurant remains open.
