What happened after Bar Rescue?

Gilly's Sports Bar appeared on Bar Rescue season 8, episode 13, "Penalty on the Bar," which originally aired March 20, 2022, at 4343 Dunwoody Park in Dunwoody, Georgia; Appen Media's coverage of the episode places the filming in December 2021. According to Appen Media's coverage of the episode and other recap sources, the bar, then operating as Gilly's the Spot, was owned by hospitality-industry veteran Willie Chandler and was said to be losing between $2,500 and $5,000 a month, with Chandler roughly $275,000 in debt and the business described as weeks from closing. As part of the on-air rescue, Jon Taffer renamed the bar Stadium Club Bar & Grill.

A fan recap site that tracks Bar Rescue bars reported in April 2023 that the owners had gone back to the Gilly's name not long after Taffer's rebrand. The bar has since closed: in a September 2026 check, Google's listing for Gilly's at 4343 Dunwoody Park was marked permanently closed, and Yelp and MapQuest also list it as closed. A separate business, The Copper Kilt Company, passed an initial Georgia health inspection for its own food-service permit at the address on February 17, 2026, and now runs a bar called The Copper Kilt there; its trivia host lists it as "The Copper Kilt (formerly Gilly's Sports Bar)."
