Is Griff's Still Open? Bar Rescue Update (Las Vegas, NV)

Griff's Bar and Billiards appeared on Bar Rescue season 8, episode 9, "Behind the 8 Ball," which aired July 18, 2021, at 3650 S Decatur Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to fan recap coverage of the episode, owner Mark Griffin bought the billiards hall in 2016 as his seventh pool room, and the location has 26 pool tables. The episode centered on Griffin missing time at the bar for health reasons and manager Gary's performance during his absence; a stress test cited in that coverage showed Gary delivering food to the wrong table, missing orders, and slowing the kitchen.

Reported changes made during the on-air rescue included new point-of-sale systems, an Atmosphere TV package, Skytab tableside ordering, and an updated, brighter exterior sign. A site check of griffslv.com on September 8, 2026 returned an HTTP 403 response with no retrievable page content, which this record does not treat as evidence of closure given that such blocks are commonly issued to automated requests rather than site visitors. Google Places listed the location's business status as operational when checked the same day. A fan recap page focused on the bar's post-show status, last updated January 30, 2023, reported that Griff's Bar & Billiards was still open and serving customers in Las Vegas at that time, and it described mostly positive customer reviews that specifically praised the venue's cleanliness.

That page is dated well before this record's 2026 check and is treated here as supporting, rather than sole, evidence of the bar's continued operation. Discussion threads on pool-player forums, including AzBilliards Forums, separately tracked the venue's upcoming and post-broadcast Bar Rescue appearance, consistent with the billiards hall remaining a going concern in the local pool community. No dated news source confirming griffslv.com's current condition, a change of ownership, or a closure was found within the single search performed for this record. The property's coordinates and street address are drawn from the Google Places record supplied with the show; no discrepancy with that location was identified.
