What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

Grill 'Em All began in 2009 as a heavy-metal-themed food truck in Southern California, built by chef Ryan Harkins and partner Matt Chernus around gourmet burgers with names and toppings tied to metal music. The truck won the first season of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race and later competed on the Travel Channel's Food Wars. Harkins and Chernus opened a brick-and-mortar Grill 'Em All restaurant in Alhambra, California, in 2013, moving the brand from a mobile format toward a fixed clubhouse-style location. According to Grill 'Em All's own website, checked September 7, 2026, the business now operates from 5411 East Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, offering nine craft beers on tap alongside its burger menu. A Longbeachize report published May 24, 2026, independently confirmed the Long Beach address as the restaurant's current location, though neither source specified whether the original touring truck or the Alhambra restaurant is still active.
