What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

"The Best Thing I Ever Ate" featured Grill 'Em All for its heavy-metal-themed gourmet burgers, including the Behemoth, a half-pound patty stacked between two grilled-cheese buns, from a truck that chef Ryan Harkins and business partner Matt Chernus started in Southern California. The truck won the first season of Food Network's Great Food Truck Race in 2010, and the pair later opened a stand-alone restaurant in Alhambra in 2013. According to the company's own website, grillemallburgs.com, and a Yelp listing updated in August 2026, Grill 'Em All now operates from a restaurant at 5411 East Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, serving craft beer alongside its burger menu; the Alhambra address is no longer listed among the company's current locations. The original truck is not described as still in service on the company's site.
