Guy Fieri stopped at Hank's Haute Dogs in Kaka'ako for gourmet hot dogs built from house-made sausages and inventive toppings, including a rabbit-and-veal dog finished with truffle cheese sauce. The counter-service shop was owned and run by Henry Hank Adaniya, who opened it in the late 2000s a block off Ala Moana Boulevard in the Kaka'ako neighborhood. According to Honolulu Magazine (2015-10-21), Hank's closed briefly in 2015, then reopened nearby at 324 Coral Street with an added late-breakfast Hankfast menu featuring items like the Breakfast Dog and an Ice Coffee Whip. According to a retirement notice posted on the business's own website, Hank's Haute Dogs closed permanently and retired on 2024-10-17. A Yelp listing updated 2026-06 also marks the Coral Street location permanently closed.

Hank's Haute Dogs was a gourmet hot dog restaurant at the SALT At Our Kaka'ako complex in Honolulu that, according to its own website, always featured its "authentic Chicago Dogs" alongside one other daily special, over a 17-year run. The restaurant closed its Kaka'ako storefront on October 17, 2024, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and KHON2. Owner Henry "Hank" Adaniya, who was retiring, told KHON2 he had "accomplished what I wanted to do." KITV reported that rising food and ingredient costs also contributed to the closure. Since then, according to the business's own website, hankshautedogs.com, checked 2026-09-08, Hank's Haute Dogs has continued doing periodic pop-up events, posting its schedule on a Substack page and still returning near its old SALT location on select Fridays and Saturdays.
