Hollywood Liberty Hotel Is Now Hollywood VIP Hotel

Hollywood Liberty Hotel was a budget hotel at 1770 Orchid Ave in Hollywood, California, that was featured on Hotel Impossible in the episode 'Hollywood Nightmare' (S4E5), which aired 2014-02-24; the specific problems Anthony Melchiorri addressed during the visit are not documented in the sources reviewed for this record. Google Places currently lists the property at the same Orchid Avenue address under the name Hollywood VIP Hotel, with a business status of operational. The property's website, hollywoodviphotel.com, was checked on 2026-09-09 and returned an HTTP 200 response with 2025-dated content in its page text.

The site brands the property as Hollywood VIP Hotel, describing it as a budget hotel in Hollywood with rooms, amenities, photos, and nearby attractions and nightlife listings. Notably, the site's listed contact email is [email protected], which retains the property's earlier Hollywood Liberty name even though the current branding and phone number, 323-962-1788, appear under Hollywood VIP Hotel. Because the current website and Google Places listing share the Orchid Avenue address associated with the 2014 episode while operating under a new brand name, and because the site's own contact email still carries the earlier name, the evidence indicates a rebrand from Hollywood Liberty Hotel to Hollywood VIP Hotel rather than a change of ownership. No source reviewed specified the date of the name change.
