What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
JCT Kitchen & Bar appeared in the "Sugar Rush" episode (S1E4), which featured the restaurant's Southern-inflected New American menu at its West Midtown location. Chef Ford Fry opened JCT Kitchen in Atlanta's Westside Provisions District, according to 11Alive, and 11Alive reported in December 2021 that Fry closed the restaurant after nearly 15 years in business. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on 2022-05-17 that Fry planned to replace JCT Kitchen with two new concepts at 1198 Howell Mill Road: a ground-floor restaurant called Little Sparrow, which the AJC described as inspired by old Brooklyn taverns and European cafes, and an upstairs restaurant called Bar Blanc. Google's business listing for the address marked JCT Kitchen & Bar permanently closed as of a 2026-09-08 check, and the restaurant's former website, jctkitchen.com, displayed Little Sparrow's branding on the same check.
