What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
Dynamo Donut and Coffee appeared in the "With Bacon" episode (S1E3), which featured the shop's Maple Bacon Apple doughnut. Sara Spearin opened Dynamo Donut in July 2008 in San Francisco's Mission District, according to Spoon University (2018). Food GPS reported on 2009-08-21 that the shop's maple-glazed bacon apple doughnut came topped with crispy cuts of bacon. Spoon University also reported that chef Chris Cosentino endorsed the Maple Bacon Apple doughnut on Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate," and that the shop offers gluten-free and vegan options alongside seasonal rotating flavors like Jalapeño Lime and Cornmeal Rosemary Cherry.
A site check on 2026-09-08 found the shop's website (dynamodonut.com) live, carrying a server last-modified header dated the same day, along with an online ordering widget. Google's business listing for the shop's 24th Street address also marked the location operational as of the same check.
