What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
Boccalone Salumeria appeared in the "With Bacon" episode (S1E3), which featured the shop's cured Italian meats, sold to-go as paper-wrapped "Meat Cones." Boccalone was a salumeria in San Francisco's Ferry Building Marketplace, founded in 2007 by chef Chris Cosentino and Mark Pastore, who also operated San Francisco's Incanto restaurant. The San Francisco Chronicle reported in October 2017 that Boccalone would close its Ferry Building location, citing declining sales; the shop closed on October 29, 2017, according to the Chronicle. Yelp's business page for Boccalone, updated March 2026, lists the business as closed.
Google's business listing for the Ferry Building address likewise marked the location permanently closed as of a 2026-09-08 check. No current website could be located for the business during the same check, and no information was found on what, if anything, now occupies the former retail space.
