What happened after Food Paradise?

The episode Swine and Dine (S16E8) featured Mercado Taqueria, a Mexican taqueria in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles serving tacos and other street-food-style plates. The restaurant operated under the Cocinas y Calaveras restaurant group, which also runs Mercado-branded taquerias elsewhere in the Los Angeles area. A Google Places listing, updated 2026-09-08, marks Mercado Taqueria as permanently closed at 11929 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. The Cocinas y Calaveras website, checked 2026-09-08, currently lists Mercado locations in Hollywood, Manhattan Beach, and Pasadena but does not list a Studio City address, consistent with the closure of this location. No dated source indicating a relocation of the Studio City restaurant to a new address was found in the evidence collected for this record.
