What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured Michael's of Brooklyn's family-recipe Italian-American dishes, including its meatballs and red-sauce classics, at the restaurant's Sheepshead Bay location. Michael's of Brooklyn is a family-owned Italian restaurant at 2929 Avenue R in Brooklyn, New York, operating since 1964. Google Places lists the location's business status as permanently closed, but that flag is contradicted by fresher, dated evidence: the restaurant's own website (michaelsofbrooklyn.com), checked 2026-09-09, displays a 2026 copyright notice and a working online ordering cart, and a Yelp listing updated 2026-07 lists the restaurant's current hours, Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday closed. Because two independent sources dated 2026 show the business actively taking orders and serving guests, this record treats the Places closure flag as outdated rather than current.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
