Di Fara Pizza is a pizzeria at 1424 Avenue J in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, on the corner of East 15th Street, according to Wikipedia. Domenico DeMarco opened the shop in 1965 and ran it himself until his death in 2022, building a reputation that drew food critics from across the country; the New York Times once called it one of the city's most sought-after pizza shops, and chef Anthony Bourdain praised its pies. Yelp's listing for the address, updated 2026-08, shows continuing photos and more than 4,100 reviews.
Brooklyn Paper reported that Di Fara has since launched a frozen pizza line sold in grocery stores, extending the brand beyond the original storefront. Slice.life's current ordering page lists Tuesday-through-Sunday hours for the Avenue J location. A site check on 2026-09-08 found one specific difarapizzany.com location sub-page returning a 404 error, though the domain's other pages and the business's social accounts remain active.
