What happened after Hotel Impossible?

Hotel Impossible (Travel Channel) featured the property as Mountain View Lodge in the episode "Resort to Spanking" (S5E7), which aired 2014-11-25, set in Manson, Washington, a small town on Lake Chelan's north shore. Since the episode aired, the property has continued operating at 25 Wapato Point Pkwy under an expanded name, Mountain View Lodge & Resort, according to Google Places and the business's own website, mvlresort.com, whose server metadata shows the site was last modified 2026-09-08. The current website lists accommodations including king and queen rooms, suites with kitchenettes, and townhomes, along with a blog, a newsletter sign-up, and a booking system, none of which were part of the property's 2014 presentation on the show.

Yelp's page for the lodge, updated in June 2026, describes free breakfast, WiFi, and parking, along with a pool, hot tub, and pet-friendly rooms. A Tripadvisor review dated May 16, 2026 described a stay in a clean, spacious room with strong mountain views. No news coverage, licensing record, or ownership announcement describing a change of hands was found; the available evidence points to the same operator continuing to run and actively market the property under its expanded name. This account draws on the lodge's own website, its Google Places listing, Yelp's page, and the cited Tripadvisor review.
