What happened after Hotel Impossible?

Hotel Impossible (Travel Channel) featured Ocean Crest Resort in the episode "Clearing the Heir" (S5E9), which aired 2014-12-16, located at 4651 WA-109 in Moclips, Washington, on the state's Pacific coast. The resort's own website, oceancrestresort.com, returned an HTTP 403 error to our automated access attempt and could not be checked directly. Third-party listings, however, show continued activity at the same address under the same name. Yelp's page for the resort, updated in September 2026, and Tripadvisor's current review page both carry recent guest ratings, and Google Places lists the business as operational.

Some 2026 reviews describe favorable ocean views and an on-site sauna, rating the property highly for two-person stays, while others describe musty odors in some rooms and a view partly obscured by a large tree, pointing to uneven maintenance across the property's room inventory. The resort's on-site restaurant, listed separately on Yelp as Ocean Crest Restaurant, shows posted hours of Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. No news coverage, licensing record, or ownership announcement describing a change of hands was found. Because the resort's own website could not be reached during this check, this account relies on Yelp, Tripadvisor, and Google Places rather than the operator's direct statements; a subsequent review with working access to the site could add confirming detail.
