What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Nicky's Coal Fired in the episode 'Traditional Twists,' which aired 2021-11-05, highlighting the Nashville restaurant's coal-fired pizza and housemade pasta. Nicky's Coal Fired describes itself on its website as an Italian restaurant using seasonal Tennessee ingredients, located on Centennial Blvd in Nashville. According to the restaurant's own website, checked 2026-09-08, the site remains live with an active online-ordering link alongside menu, catering, and private-event pages, and Google Places lists the business as operational as of the same date. The website's footer references a year of 2016, which appears to be a leftover template date rather than a sign of inactivity, since the ordering system and other pages continue to function normally. Taken together, the current site and Places listing indicate the restaurant is still serving customers.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
