What happened after Restaurant Stakeout?
"Restaurant Stakeout" season 5's "Golf Course Stakeout" (episode 7, aired July 23, 2014) sent Willie Degel to Oh' Brian's On the Green, a pub on the grounds of the Hyatt Hills Golf Complex in Clark, New Jersey. According to Food Network's episode description, the restaurant was co-owned by two men both named Brian, and its problems centered on a manager who was frequently absent, leaving the staff to run the floor on their own while customers grew increasingly unhappy. Wikipedia's article on the series notes that a 2012 realityblurred.com report found the show's stakeouts and owner confrontations to be staged and scripted.
As with other episodes, the format has Degel install hidden cameras to document how the restaurant runs without direct oversight, then confront the owner with that footage and order changes to management structure and staff accountability.
