What happened after Restaurant Stakeout?

"Restaurant Stakeout" visited Henderson, Nevada for season 5's "Hammered in Vegas" (episode 5, aired July 2, 2014), centered on Hammer's Grill & Bar and its owner, former professional hockey player Bob Fleming. Per Food Network's episode description, Fleming, nicknamed "The Hammer" for his on-ice fighting, relocated the bar from its original Illinois location to Henderson in 2007, and by the time of filming its business had been declining. Wikipedia's article on the series notes that a 2012 realityblurred.com report found the show's premise of unscripted hidden-camera surveillance to be staged and scripted.

Willie Degel's standard method on the show is to plant hidden cameras to watch how the bar operates when the owner isn't around, then use the footage to confront the owner and push changes to staffing, pours, or service standards. Current evidence shows the bar still active: its official website, hammersgrillandbar.com, advertises current specials, karaoke nights, live music, and online ordering, and a Yelp business listing for Hammer's Grill & Bar at 771 E. Horizon Drive was updated as of July 2026, showing continued customer reviews and a 4.6-star rating. Directory listings consistently place the business at the same Horizon Drive address it has occupied since Fleming's 2007 move.
