What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's 'Burrito Paradise' episode featured Papalote Mexican Grill, a taqueria in San Francisco's Mission District at 3409 24th Street. According to the business's own website, papalote-sf.com, the restaurant opened on March 17, 1999, and describes itself as grilling its meats to order and preparing food from scratch daily. The restaurant's own website returned an access-denied error when checked directly on 2026-09-09, but a Yelp listing for the 24th Street address, last updated in August 2026, carried thousands of accumulated customer reviews without any closure notice.
A separate Restaurant Guru listing for the same address recorded a 4.8-out-of-5 rating across roughly 5,500 reviews, describing the restaurant as a longtime neighborhood taqueria known for its salsa and vegetarian options. Google Places, checked the same day, listed the business as operational under the name Papalote Mexican Grill Valencia.
