What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Prohibition in the episode "A Festival of Flavor," aired 2013-06-17, spotlighting the gastropub's craft cocktails and modern American bar fare. Prohibition operated as a bar and restaurant at 504 East Colfax Avenue in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood. A Yelp listing updated in September 2026 marks that address as permanently closed. According to Wikipedia's entry for Buddies Denver, six men opened that gay bar in the same Colfax Avenue space in September 2023, after Prohibition had already vacated the address. Together, the Yelp closure listing and the Buddies Denver opening date place Prohibition's shutdown sometime before September 2023, though no exact closure date was found in the sources reviewed for this record. Older guide pages such as Tripadvisor still carry historical listings for Prohibition at the Colfax address, but none of them reflect any 2026-dated activity.
