What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise featured Sabuka Sushi Bar in San Diego, California, in the season 10 episode "Better With Bacon." The business operated as a sushi restaurant in the city's downtown area. According to Azuki Sushi's website (azukisushi.com), checked 2026-09-08, a sushi restaurant now operates at the same Fifth Avenue address, listing current weekly hours from Thursday through Sunday, an active online reservation link, and a 2026 copyright notice on its homepage. The site describes a menu of signature rolls and premium sashimi served in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Google Places associates that Fifth Avenue location with the restaurant originally featured on the show, though the current listing carries the name Azuki Sushi Lounge rather than Sabuka Sushi Bar. No source reviewed explains when the name changed or whether ownership also changed.
