What happened after Hotel Impossible?

Hotel Impossible (Travel Channel) featured the Simmons Motel in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in the episode 'Hershey Addiction,' which aired 2015-09-29 (S6E5). The series sent host Anthony Melchiorri to small, independently run lodging properties working through operational and presentation problems, and the Hershey motel was one of the properties the show worked with. The Simmons Motel sits at 355 West Chocolate Avenue, a few blocks from Hersheypark and Hershey's Chocolate World. The motel's own website, simmonsmotel.com, lists the same address, a phone number, and a booking email, though the page's copyright and most recent dated content run through 2021 rather than 2026, so the site alone does not establish current operation.

More recent evidence does. A Yelp listing for the business, updated in 2026-08, carries 55 reviews and lists the same Chocolate Avenue address and category. Google Places separately carries the Simmons Motel as operational at the same coordinates. Guest feedback summarized on Booking.com and Tripadvisor in 2026 describes an older, budget-priced property with an outdoor pool and spa, free parking, and mixed opinions on room soundproofing, alongside praise for the staff and location near Hersheypark. No dated source reviewed across the show reports a closure, sale, or rebrand of the Simmons Motel since the 2015 episode aired.
