What happened after Hotel Impossible?

Hotel Impossible (Travel Channel) featured the Lancer Motel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the episode 'A Tall Odor in Myrtle Beach,' which aired 2015-11-10 (S6E11). Host Anthony Melchiorri's series works with independently owned motels on operational and guest-experience problems, and the Lancer Motel, at 606 North Kings Highway, was one of the properties featured. The motel does not maintain its own standalone website; the business's current online presence is a Facebook page rather than a dedicated site. A Yelp listing for the business, updated in 2026-01, lists the same North Kings Highway address and carries guest reviews.

A Better Business Bureau profile and a Visit Myrtle Beach directory listing likewise carry the Lancer Motel at the same address. Google Places separately lists the business as operational at the same coordinates. Aggregator sites including Agoda, Yellowpages, OuterBanks.com, and Evendo continue to list the Lancer Motel as a bookable property in 2026. No dated source reviewed across the show reports a closure, sale, or rebrand of the Lancer Motel since the 2015 episode aired. A site check of the property's Facebook page on 2026-09-09 returned only page-framework data rather than readable page text, so it was not used as a dated source for this record.
