What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The 'Snack Attack' episode featured Socca, a French-Mediterranean bistro that opened in 2004 at 3301 N. Clark Street in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and became known locally for its pizzettes. Crain's Chicago Business reported on 2013-05-09 that then-owner Roger Herring had decided not to renew Socca's lease after operating there for nearly a decade, ending the restaurant's run at that address, and that a new operator, Marc Wuenschel, was involved in the business as Herring and his partner exited. A Yelp listing for the Clark Street address, last updated in May 2026, continues to mark Socca as permanently closed. No sources describing a reopening or new use of the Socca name at that address were found; Foursquare's listing for the space likewise marks the French restaurant closed.
