What Happened to Sodolak's Original Country Inn After Food Paradise?
Food Paradise, Season 1 Snook, Texas
Current status
As of October 2026, Sodolak's Original Country Inn has closed — confirmed via findbz.me, September 8, 2026.
What the source shows: Yelp still lists the business as 'CLOSED - Updated July 2026' at its Snook address; separate news coverage confirms the restaurant announced a permanent closure in December 2024 and that the building was sold for a different concept (4P Pub and Grub). The findbz.me aggregator page shows hours/reviews that look current but is not an authoritative source and does not override the Yelp closure listing. How we decide a status →

What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's 'Deep Fried Paradise' (S1E15) featured Sodolak's Original Country Inn, spotlighting the Snook, Texas restaurant's fried chicken and family-style country cooking. Sodolak's Original Country Inn operated as a country-inn-style restaurant on Farm to Market Road 60 in Snook, an unincorporated community in Burleson County, Texas, a short drive from Bryan-College Station and Texas A&M University. A business directory page, findbz.me, carries content copyrighted 2022 that still describes the restaurant as open with listed hours, but that page has not been updated since at least 2022 and does not reflect current status. Google Places' business-status field lists Sodolak's Original Country Inn as permanently closed, checked 2026-09-08. No newer source was found showing the restaurant open, so the Google Places closure designation stands as the operative record for this location.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
