What happened after Mystery Diners?
In the Mystery Diners (Food Network) episode "Boss Hog" (season 3, episode 11; aired June 28, 2013), Rick Fairless and his mother, who own Strokers Ice House inside Rick's motorcycle shop and bar in Dallas, called in the crew after noticing a drop in revenue. Undercover investigators found that a waitress named Sammi was pocketing cash from the bar and, together with her boyfriend Lobo, a mechanic at the motorcycle shop, was also selling motorcycle parts on the side. When confronted by Rick and his mother, Sammi and Lobo were fired, and a second waitress involved was let go as well.
Wikipedia's article on Mystery Diners, citing its sources, notes that the program carries a disclaimer stating its events may be staged or re-enacted for dramatic effect, and describes a television critic's view that some of its scenarios read as implausible. Strokers Dallas has continued operating at its Harry Hines Boulevard address in the years since. A September 2026 check of the business's website, strokersdallas.com, found the year 2026 appearing in the page text, a file last modified that same day, and posted daily hours for the icehouse bar. The site lists ongoing programming tied to the shop's motorcycle-customization business, including a video series and bike sales, alongside the bar and grill operation shown in the episode.
