What happened after Mystery Diners?
In the 'Friends with Benefits' episode (aired 2013-05-24), owners Arthur and Shawnette were fielding complaints about slow, inattentive service at their New Orleans cafe, World Famous N'awlins Jazz Cafe and Oyster Bar, and asked Mystery Diners' undercover team to see what was going wrong. Cameras showed manager Chastity had filled open positions with friends who lacked training or qualifications, and that waiter Roger was rude to guests and unreliable on shift. Once Arthur and Shawnette reviewed the footage, they removed both Chastity and Roger and brought in properly trained staff to rebuild the front of house.
According to Wikipedia's article on the series, citing its sources, Mystery Diners carries an on-screen disclaimer that its events may be staged or re-enacted for dramatic effect and has been described by a television critic as relying on implausible scenarios and unconvincing acting.
