What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
In the 'Arizona All-Stars' episode (Food Network, aired 2015-02-06), Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Tom's Thumb Fresh Market's Pigs & Grits, crispy pulled pork served over creamy grits with local cheddar and jalapeno bacon. Tom's Thumb is a hybrid business in Scottsdale, Arizona combining a gas station, market, and competition-style barbecue counter; Phoenix New Times' restaurant profile credits chef-owner Kipp Lassetter, a former surgeon, with running the barbecue side of the operation. A Yelp business listing, found under the name 'The Thumb,' was updated in May 2026 with 1,856 reviews and 1,475 photos for the location at 9393 East Bell Road. A separate fan-run DDD locations page last updated its entry on 2025-04-13 without noting a closure, consistent with the business remaining open.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
