On 'Upper Crust' (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, aired 2009-08-03), Guy Fieri visited The Depot American Diner in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, praising its pot roast sandwich and homemade donuts. The diner opened in January 2007, started by Oak Park residents Robert Nava and his wife Anna Marie, according to Patch.com. According to the Wednesday Journal (Oak Park's local paper), the restaurant temporarily closed on 2012-04-03 following a health department inspection.
