What happened after Food Paradise?

"The Dump Truck" appeared in "Food Truck Paradise" (S2E2), which featured hand-rolled, steamed dumplings blending Beijing and Portland influences, including a bacon-cheeseburger dumpling that became a local favorite. According to the cart's own site, founders Julia and Reid developed the concept after Julia learned dumpling-making from a restaurant owner in Beijing, and the business launched in 2010 at SW 10th Ave at SW Alder St in Portland. The dumplings were previously featured on Travel Channel's "Food Paradise," Cooking Channel's "Unique Eats," and Food Network's "Eat Street." Yelp's listing for "The Dump Truck," updated 2026-06, marks the cart permanently closed. The Google Places record originally supplied for this entry pointed to a different, unrelated cart pod, so the address has been corrected to the truck's known former location.
