What the source shows: Re-checked 2026-09-21: the recorded URL still redirects to the parent company's generic Landry's, Inc. homepage (footer dated 2024), with no Flying Dutchman-specific content, consistent with the prior finding that it is permanently closed. How we decide a status →

What happened after Food Paradise?

The "Boardwalk Bites" episode featured this Kemah boardwalk seafood restaurant for its oyster bar and waterfront dining rather than a single dish, playing off its spot on the Kemah boardwalk fronting Galveston Bay. The Flying Dutchman Restaurant & Oyster Bar operated as a seafood restaurant and oyster bar at 9 Kemah Water Front in Kemah, Texas, under corporate parent Landry's, Inc. Google's listing marks the location permanently closed. The web address once used for the location's own page, checked on 2026-09-08, no longer displays a dedicated Flying Dutchman menu or ordering system; it shows only Landry's, Inc.'s general corporate branding, with the newest dated content on that page from 2024, predating the closure. No fresher source was found showing the location currently operating under this name.
