"Best Thing I Ever Ate" featured The Four Seasons, the Manhattan institution known for its Pool Room and Grill Room inside the Seagram Building, on the "Childhood Favorites" episode. The Four Seasons opened at 99 East 52nd Street in 1959 and became a fixture of New York's power-lunch culture for decades, according to CBS News. A change in ownership of the Seagram Building cost the restaurant its lease, and it closed after dinner service in July 2016, according to CBS News. The Four Seasons reopened in 2018 at 42 East 49th Street in a $30 million space designed by architect Isay Weinfeld, according to Robb Report. Less than a year later, the relocated restaurant closed permanently on June 11, 2019, according to CBS News and ABC7NY.
