What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
"The Best Thing I Ever Ate" featured Bucci's Restaurant in its Childhood Favorites episode, spotlighting a nostalgic, scratch-made Italian-American dish from the kitchen's regular menu. The restaurant operated as a sit-down dining room at 1 Berea Commons, in a small retail-and-restaurant complex a few blocks from Baldwin Wallace University, and was known locally for pasta and other made-to-order entrees according to longstanding restaurant directories such as ActiveDiner and the Chamber of Commerce. According to Yelp, whose page for Bucci's was updated in July 2026, the restaurant is marked permanently closed. Foursquare separately lists the business as now closed, corroborating the Yelp designation. No source describes a reopening, relocation, or new operator taking over the Berea Commons space since those listings were last updated.
