Casey Webb's second Salt Lake City stop was The Salty Pineapple, a restaurant serving Hawaiian plate lunches. He tried its signature sweet-and-salty plate: two scoops of furikake-sprinkled white rice and a scoop of Polynesian macaroni salad, topped with kalua pork steamed for eight hours in banana leaves, twice-dredged and deep-fried sweet garlic chicken finished in a shoyu-garlic sauce, and a slice of fresh pineapple. As with the roadhouse stop earlier in the episode, this was a tasting segment rather than a timed challenge. A website using the same business name was located during research but describes an unrelated personal crafts and recipe blog, not this restaurant, so it was not used as a source.
