What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode "Sausage Kings" (S10E9) featured The Vanguard's scratch-made sausage menu and craft beer program in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood. The bar, located at 2659 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue, pairs house-made sausages with a rotating selection of craft beers, cocktails, and spirits. According to Yelp, the listing for The Vanguard was updated in September 2026, showing continued customer reviews and no closure notice. The Vanguard's own website, vanguardbar.com, listed current hours in a September 2026 check -- Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. -- along with its full sausage, beer, and cocktail menu. Urban Milwaukee profiled the bar's sausage-focused menu in a December 2024 feature, describing it as a Bay View spot built around creative hot dog and beer pairings.
