Is VFW Post 10054 Still Open? Bar Rescue Update (Pahrump, NV)

VFW Post 10054, home to a members' canteen bar, appeared on Bar Rescue season 8, episode 8, "A Commander & His Post," which aired July 11, 2021, at 4651 Homestead Rd in Pahrump, Nevada; fan recap coverage of the episode places the filming in April 2021. Unlike most Bar Rescue subjects, the post is a nonprofit organization serving veterans of foreign wars rather than a for-profit bar, according to fan recap coverage of the episode. That coverage describes the episode as centered on longtime commander Marty, a thirty-year U.S. Navy veteran, stepping back from running the post's canteen to care for his ailing wife, with a less experienced successor, Steve, learning to take over.

Specific details of the operational or facility changes made during the on-air rescue were not found in the sources checked for this record. When checked on September 8, 2026, the post's own website, vfwpost10054.com, returned a working page titled "VFW Post 10054 in Pahrump - VFW Post 10054," formally named for Clyde E. Newman Jr., carrying a 2026 copyright notice and listing Friday canteen hours of 10:00 a.m. to noon, along with navigation for grants, a calendar, news, legislative updates, scholarships, and a blog. Google Places listed the location's business status as operational as of the same date.

A fan recap site last updated in 2023 described the post as continuing to serve veterans in Pahrump with Steve installed as commander and Marty stepped back, consistent with the episode's arc, though that account predates this record's 2026 check and is treated here only as background. No news coverage of a closure or change in the post's operating status was found within the single search performed for this record. The property's coordinates and street address are drawn from the Google Places record supplied with the show; no discrepancy with that location was identified.
