What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The 'For Brunch' episode featured Walker Bros. The Original Pancake House for its apple pancake and French toast, signature dishes across the Chicago-area chain. Walker Bros. developed as a franchised spin-off of The Original Pancake House, founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, according to a Wikipedia summary revised 2026-07-11. The Arlington Heights location, one of several Chicago-suburb branches, sits at 825 West Dundee Road. Walker Bros., like the original chain, is known for its apple pancakes, French toast, and omelettes, and the Wikipedia summary notes the chain has been in business for more than 45 years. A Yelp business listing updated 2026-08 shows continuing customer reviews for the Arlington Heights restaurant, and the chain's own website, walkerbros.net, still lists Arlington Heights among its current locations with posted hours.
